Heroes!

Heroes! is a club run by an arts collective of musicians, designers, make-up artists, performers, dancers, writers and others who have come together to form a kind of amorphous performance mass that tours venues entertaining audiences with their outrageous performances. Heroes is a series of off-sequence nights that have brought you the bands Motormark performing in a Warholian silver-foiled basement, Flying Matchstick Men surrounded by a Mondrian-inspired stage while demented DeStijl dancers grooved alongside. Heroes! also launched the multi-million selling 'Bleed Like Me', the latest album from Garbage. Again, specially designed outfits were prepared by the go-go dancers (made from bin liners of course!) and worn for one night only.

Heroes was also chosen to host the launch parties for 'Witching Hour' by Ladytron and 'You could have it so much better...' by Franz Ferdinand in Oct 2005, followed by the 'Meds' LP (Placebo).

Heroes changes venues depending on the theme of the party and the atmosphere that needs to be created. The music played at Heroes is not limited to one genre and can take in trashy pop, hardcore punk, country western, film scores and pulsating disco depending on the mood of the DJs, performers and paying customers.

Heroes has been called "Innovative" by The Metro, "Aggressive and progressive... long overdue" by The List and "A hidden gem, well worth seeking out" by The Skinny.
